"Hey guys, your kit is awesome! My ES350 2007 already came with factory AUX, but I am really glad that I upgraded the stereo with your adapter.

The ability to charge when the car is running already saved my phone battery few times on the busy mornings when I forgot to charge the phone at night.

I also love the ability to change the songs from the steering wheel. I usually download music sets with hundreds of songs and I enjoy only small portion of them, so having this functionality is essential for me.

Again - amazing product and highly recommended upgrade for Lexus ES350 owners!

"This kit is really straight forward to install as this video demonstrates. I installed this kit in 10 minutes in my 2003 4Runner.

I sat in my car and just listened to my iPod for 10 minutes after I was finished. I have owned my 4Runner for years. I can't believe I didn't do this a long time ago. "

"Got my kit for my 2007 Toyota Camry LE. Took about 3 days to get to me.

I previously had the Scosche brand which is limited in so many ways in terms of what it can do if you do not have the SAT option on your car radio. No playlist selection nor text mode. I did some verification from Supri on Toyota Nation ( toyotanation.com ) and he convinced me the GTA car kit was going to do exactly what I was expecting from an iPod adapter.

It took me less than thirty minutes to install and I am really enjoying it. I will buy it again for my 2003 Highlander and 2011 Rav4."

    "Hi GTA,

Received my order in just 3 days.

I had viewed the installation video a few times before I placed my order. As soon as I received the kit I was anxious to make the installation. Gathered the few tools I needed and began the disassembly.

I have to say that your video instructions are priceless and that the entire installation took roughly 40 minutes. No problems whatsoever in retrieving the radio unit, making the connections, running the wire through the console or placing the wire harness and radio unit back in the car.

The unit works perfectly well and I can now enjoy operating my IPOD through the steering wheel mounted controls.

Excellent product and installation instruction video.

    Thumbs up !!!

    "Hi GTA,

I just finished installing the kit on my 2005 Toyota Matrix and it was simple and exactly as the video described.

It sounds awesome! This was the solution I had been looking for. I love that it keeps the clean, factory look of the car and that I can read the names of the songs that come up. Plus, it charges only while the car is on. Perfect design.

    Thanks!"

    "Hello,

After buying a 2007 Toyota Camry SE used three years ago, I grew tired of listening to my iPods through the auxiliary jack. I wanted to control the iPod through my stereo and steering wheel controls like my JBL stereo. The local dealers don't offer an adapter since the 2012 models are in the showroom.

I found your site by searching Google. I ordered my kit on April 16th and it arrived by USPS on April 21st. Within 30 minutes, I had everything up and running.

I am very impressed with your quality product and easy installation. The video was easy to follow. It only took me a few more minutes longer than your eleven minute clip on YouTube.

Thanks for great product - I would recommend your kits to anyone and everyone.
Yours truly, Shawn" (Temple Hills, MD, USA)

    "Hooray for GTA car kits!

I've been hemming and hawing about getting an after-market kit for my 2005 Toyota Sienna for a couple of years now. I have not been happy with either the FM transmitters with their poor reception, or the tape-deck adapters and their very annoying clackity-clack. However, I was put off by the thought of just hacking away at my dash trying to get the panels off, and of possi...bly having to cut into the wiring harnesses to get plugs to fit, like some kits require. Then I saw the installation video for GTA on YouTube. After reading nothing but good reviews all over the web for GTA, I bit the bullet and on the 14th, bought a kit. I got it today, the 19th, and within an hour I had it completely installed, tested, and put back together! If I'd collected all my tools from upstairs before I went to the garage, it would have taken me much less time, too. :)

Ordering was easy, the video of installation on a 2008 Sienna, though not completely correct for the 2005, was easy to follow, and easy to adapt.

I had to unplug my tape deck (black plug in second block), and plug the adapter in there, and I don't have a disc/aux button, it just says disc. But otherwise, everything works just as described. The adapter box fits perfectly in the small compartment just above the retractable cup/coin holder.

I am a happy, happy customer! Thank you"

"I found about GTA Car Kit through my friend at work. I tried to look for a compatible car stereo that comes with such attachment or plug in. I have FM transmitter but it interferes with other transmitters on the road with other cars and weak. Picked GTA Car kits as it was highly recommended by my friend and I am glad I did. It charges my ipod/phone/ipad on long trips and its so convenient to use with existing car interface.

Installation was VERY EASY for Toyota Sienna! It took less than 30 minutes and most of the time was spent deciding on where to pull cable from (Glove box or HVAC Vent). The video made it so much easier instead of reading instructions. Instructions on the video were clear and precise. Loved it.

I use Ipod and MP3 Player on Blackberry. Ran wires thru Glove compartment. I really like the ability to control ipod through Car controls and able to see the song titles on car stereo.

Overall GTA Car Kit is fantastic and absolutely I would recommend this to friends and family.

    "Hi There,
I recently purchased a kit for my 2008 mazda 6. We finally installed it today (really pretty easy thanks to the online video). Start to finish 1.5 hours (including a 20 minute trip to the hardware store for an extension to get at the bolt).

Only problem I was having is that when I connect my iPod Nano 5th generation, it is displaying on the iPod screen something like 'charging is not support while connected to this accessory.' But then I realized that the iPod was charging only while the car is on.

I love love this! Finally able to listen to any of my 1000 plus songs at any time in my car! I am a huge music lover and finally get to listen to my huge library of music without messing around with stupid cd's and the sound quality is wonderful, crisp and clear.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for finally putting a product out there that isn't thru a crappy Fm station... By far best product ever!!!

    Thanks,

    "Hi GTA Car Kits,

Beyond expectations. Installation went smoothly, the video makes a difference. Thank you for making it. It made the difference for me.

Installation was easy and within a hour. Broke nothing like the plastic clips on the trim panels and nothing scratched. Only difference from the video, besides the obvious RHD vs LHD, is that the connector is in a different place on the factory unit. Easy enough to figure out in about 10 seconds. Only improvement I can think of is in the video stating that the panel in the armrest needs to be cut out of base of the armrest. Mine was held in place with adhesive and clips.

Overall, a great product, great service. Would highly recommend to anyone.

    Best Regards,

The instalation is easy - it took me about 45 mins, coz it was my first time to open the dash. The gta video is very helpful and easy to understand.

I am using my iphone 4 with the kit. I ran the cables as shown in the gta video.

I think I got the best deal- kit is easy to navigate, and no statics.

I will definitely recommend it to my friends. i might even volunteer to install it for them.

    "Hello,
I just want to let you know that your product is simply great. I was looking for a simple solution to enable my car's stock music playback system to play music from my iPod Touch, and your car kit fits the bill nicely. The YouTube video put up by your company is awesome, and made the installation work in my 2007 Lexus GS300 an easy affair. I would not usually attempt to carry out such an installation but your video convinced me that its a relatively simple task.

I was all smiles when I plugged in my iPod to test out the set and system, before re-fitting the audio set back into its place in the center console. The music from the iPod that is generated through the car kit and my car's Mark Levinson system is rich, warm, detailed and high-res (I note the 20bit DAC that is in-built within the car kit). I'm a very happy man indeed, thanks to your wonderful car kit. I will definitely recommend your product to my friends.

Shipping time was about what I would expect for an international shipment.

Installation was quite simple thanks to the comprehensive video. No extra tools were requried and it only took me about 10 minutes.

I use iPhone 4S with the cable running to the centre console.

I like that GTA Car Kit sounds better than FM transmitters, it allows control via the cars stereo controls (on the steering wheel) and that it also charges my phone.

"I came accross your kit while browsing for an cd/mp3/ipod head unit for my wife's car.
I absolutely hate static, and fm transmitters are the worst. My wife's Corolla came with a 6 disk in dash tuner and your kit still works flawless for her.

Shipping was very Reasonable. A few days and i had it ready to install.

Installation was EXTREMELY EASY, getting the required tools from the garage (phillips screw driver, 10mm socket and magnet) as well as putting them away took no more than 20 minutes. Your youtube video was helpful, I watched it while my wife was on her 10 min drive home from work and i was done before she decided what she wanted for dinner.

We both use our iphone 4s. Cables are routed through the back of the upper dash compartment so the cable can be put out of site when not in the car. GTA Car Kit features that I like the most - ease of installation, how well it integrates the ipod and how easy it is to use.

GTA Car KIt provides excellent value. i already recommend these kits to my friends and ordered 2 more for my mother and mother in law.

I own a 2004 Toyota Echo hatchback and didn't want to upgrade my stereo since there's really no good place to put speakers in the rear and the factory system is decent. I saw your car kit online and thought I'd take a chance.

It arrived today and I was able to install it in about twenty minutes...plus another ten minutes while I delightedly bounced around to various songs.

No special tools, just a screwdriver, and I was all set. I ran the cable from the deck through to my glovebox so the unit can "hide" from would-be thieves.

Great kit, easy to install and a reasonable price.

    Thanks!!!

"Watched youtube videos about installing iPod cable. Then I realized it was from a shop.

I had an FM emitter for almost 2 years, results were terrible. With sound clarity from a cable, there was no doubt it was the best choice. If I knew earlier it was that easy to install a cable... I would never had used anything else.

    Shipping was lightning fast.

GTA car kits video are an absolute necessity because of many models. We watched video for 10 minutes, then it took 10 minutes to do the job without any tool.

I use iPod classic. For the cable we drilled down an hole at the bottom.

I really like cristal clear sound (no interference) and controlling iPod with Factory radio.

100$ for something you can only find at higher prices - yes, I got great value for my money. Should never had bought an fm transmitter.

    Thanks!

"My daughter found out about GTA Car Kits on the Internet.
We tried transmitters, and considered after-market radio replacement. The transmitters worked poorly, especially in urban areas, and radio replacement was expensive and ruined the factory look of the dash. The GTA kits looked simple to install and use.

Shipping was very fast. (one of the kits wasn't in stock, so there was a short wait. But then again, it was Christmas...)

Very easy installation. It took about 15 min to install. No unusual tool were required. The video was a great help both for installation, and as a way to understand the unit before purchase.

We use iPod Touch. On both cars, the cables were run to the box under the radio.

I didn't see anything needing improvement. It's a well thought out and constructed unit.

Overall, it was a great experience. I installed them in my daughters cars, and haven't heard of any complaints. I believe they work just as expected.

These kits are a terrific value. I know which kit I'll put in my car when I need an AUX input. (I'm NOT an apple drone)

"There were other kits out there, but they all cost about the same (or more) and GTA's kit had the installation video, which was quite useful. A quick check online didn't yield any red flags that GTA was disreputable; being able to pay via PayPal helped.

Shipping was average. Since it was free, that's perfectly acceptable.

The installation was very straightforward and took about 45 minutes, although I was very careful and took my time undoing the clips that held in the console and stereo. I did have to buy the tools mentioned in the video, but they aren't unreasonable things to own and they aren't expensive. Other than the telescoping magnet, I imagine many people would have or could borrow the required screwdriver, socket and ratchet.

The installation video was extremely helpful. Without it, I wouldn't have been willing to disassemble my car's center console and risk breaking something. It was clearly narrated and paced such that it was easy to follow.

I'm using a 6th generation iPod Nano. I routed the aux-in cable to the glove box, where I put the GTA adapter itself. I ran the 3.5mm headphone aux-in to the lower console where I can easily get at it from the driver's seat (although I don't expect to ever use it, I decided the time to run that cable was when I had the center console detached).

The best GTA Car Kit feature is its integration with the car's existing stereo. The stock Toyota stereos are quality units that look like they belong -- the backlighting and layout match the look and feel of the instrument cluster and the other controls. The primary alternative to an iPod adapter is an aftermarket stereo. After a few years of keeping an eye out I have yet to see one that doesn't look gaudy and/or cheap (they all seem to have a horrible mash of colored LEDs and pointless animations).

It was not immediately clear to me that the adapter would work with the 6-disc CD changer that comes with some trim levels of Corolla, I had to Google a bit to assure myself that it would have the correct AUX input port. I've never really looked at the connections on the back of car stereos and wasn't sure how standardized they tend to be.

The GTA Car Kit is well worth the money and I'd recommend it to anyone who'd like to retain the look of their factory stereo while adding the functionality of an iPod adapter. It's also less expensive than most other Toyota iPod adapters or a quality replacement head unit.

Shipping was pretty Fast within a week during XMAS season.

Installation was pretty easy with the video no issues so far.

I am using Ipod Classic 80 GB and I did run the cables tru the gloves box I really like to be able to choose between Ipod cable and only AUX cable

"After trying all of the FM converters, cassette tape 3.5's, and so on, I had given up hope of ever having a 3.5/iPhone/iPod connection on my stock radio. I wanted to keep the originality intact on my 2002 Camry LE. It only has 35,000 miles on it and I simply did not want an aftermarket radio installed. After finding your YourTube video online, I watched it intently and decided that you must have a great product by all of the positive reviews that are posted. Like I said, I watched it intently, about 5 times. Very informative.

I then went to your website and placed an order for the unit. Free shipping too! After the order was placed on December 28, 2011, it arrived at my house on January 3, 2012. Bear in mind—that included the Christmas and New Year weekend. I'm very satisfied with the shipping. Excellent packaging too.

Now for the installation. While I consider myself a can-do person, I had never taken a radio out of a vehicle. To be honest, I was a little apprehensive about it, but I made the decision to dive into it head first. It went flawlessly. The radio was exactly as the video described, and connections were easy and effortless. I took the advice of your video installer and checked the unit BEFORE I re-installed the radio. It worked perfectly.

I then removed the covers for the console/gearshift and ran the two wires. Once again—easy and effortless. Looks like it came from the factory. COMPLETE installation time start to finish----53 minutes. To say that I am a happy and satisfied customer would be an understatement.

Keep up the great work, and thanks for having a quality product.

"BEST THING EVER!! Bought the GTA car kit for my 2010 Rav4asaur Mon & rec'd Fri for my 4S.

Accessed thru the lower glovebox (press each side in slightly and slide toward you; then slide off the shock absorber off on the right side.) Spotted the port in 3 sec, but due to my large meat beaters, it took me about 15 min to massage into the port. I drilled a 1/2 inch hole thru the side of the bottom cubbie and used secured the module w/ 2-sided tape.

Also bought the vent cell holder. Ideal for nav app. "

"Google search led me to your YouTube video on how to install the car kit on a 2007 Honda Pilot.

I didn't consider any other kits as your price seemed right and your video was clear and easy to follow.

Shipment was prompt. Received package in 3-4 business days after placing order.

Installation was quick and easy due to your video, which was extremely easy to follow. I Had an iPad in the car with me to easily refer to your video while doing the install. Took maybe 30 minutes. I just needed a flat head and Phillips screw driver for the install.

I have an iPhone 4 that I am using with the kit. Works perfectly as seen in the video. I ran the cables through the center consel as the video mentioned by drilling a hole in the base.

Being able to listen music on my iPhone through my car's system was the key reason for the purchase. Overall I am very pleased with the product, ease of install and ease of use through car system.

I think I received good value. I'm not handy, so without video next option was for dealer to install. That would have run me a couple hundred for the kit plus a couple hundred for the install. GTA's kit cost me a hundred bucks and did the install on my car in 30 minutes. So view that I'm net positive by a couple hundred bucks through the help of your video. And yes, would recommend this product to friends as well.

    "Hey GTA Folks...

I've owned my 2005 RX330 since new. Of course, this model doesn't have the iPod and iPhone connectivity that is now standard on newer cars. This has been frustrating because even my wife's car has this capability. I tried using those crappy FM transmitters, they are always fuzzy sounding and do not charge my iPhone.

Never fear, I found your GTA device online and compared to some other devices. Your description and installation video were perfect. I took my iPad out to the car and played the video as I installed the unit. It took about 40 min to install with no problems. In can plug in my phone and listen to online radio, Sirius Radio or any tunes I have on my iPhone. Best of all, my phone is charging the whole time.

I'm still trying to figure out how to use the radio and steering wheel buttons to control and maneuver through my music and playlists. I will figure it out.

Now I will keep my Lexus until the wheels fall off!

    Thanks,

The iPod cable came loose twice, once during the install process, then once again while feeding the excess cable back through the storage box (the best place for the iPod, drill a hole for the cable). Great item."

It only took my wife a minute to understand the controls. She did eventually read the instructions. You made her Christmas. The restart at the the same place really works for her books.

    "Hello,
I wanted to let you know that I took a chance and installed your car kit on my 2004 Acura TSX, in part because my mechanic thought it would cost upwards of $100 for him to install it. I am not particularly handy and can say that the only things I've done to my car are fill it with gas, occasionally check the tire pressure, and once in awhile add windshield wiper fluid. With the instructions that you provided and reading a couple of other suggestions on web forums, I was able to install my kit in just a few minutes (not counting drilling the hole into the storage bin) with only a flashlight and my compact mirror. It works and sounds great---I just wish I'd discovered your kit earlier since I've been listening to poor quality FM receivers for four years!

Thanks for making such a great product so easy to install!

    "Hello,
I was online looking for a way to cut costs and install a more Permanent Ipod solution than the FM transmitter I'd been using for 5 years when I came across the YouTube video on how to install an Ipod AUX via GTA car kits.

I did consider other car kits but the GTA seemed easy to install and was reasonably priced, considering the installer I called wanted $200 to install the AUX.

The shipping took only 2 days which was great, and the installation took me about an hour but only because I'm not a mechanic and certainly not used to taking a dash apart. I probably could have done it in a half hour if I tried again! No extra tools were required I used the tape over screwdriver method, very concerned I might scratch the dash. I did have to tug a little more than expected to remove the top vent portion but after removing it I realized the clips are tight for a reason, it just felt like I was going to break something, I didn't. The video was extremely helpful in installing the Ipod Kit as the gentleman talking and demonstrating was breaking the installation down to laymans terms which was perfect!

I am using a traditional Apple Ipod but what is perfect is I'm considering getting an Iphone because it would stay charged without using the automobile charger receptacle! I drilled a quarter size hole in back using a large drill bit to allow the cords to come through.

I like the quality of the GTA car kit the most of all the features about it! Definitely a good value I would recommend to a friend!

"I learned about GTA Car Kits from searching the Internet for a product to use in the car that would connect my iPod.
I had previously purchased an fm transmitter but was disappointed with the sound quality.

The product arrived 4 business days after I ordered it.

Instillation was fairly easy, and took about 30 minutes. It did require some drilling, but the installation video was very helpful.

I am using an iPhone 4, and ran the cable underneath the car radio.

I like the ability to use the steering wheel controls to switch playlists and adjust the volume the best.

I believe the GTA car kit is worth every penny and produces amazing quality sound. The Car Kit is also small and easy to store. I have already began recommending this product to my friends and family!

"I found your product on Youtube. I think I saw another product on Youtube but it looked a little cheap, so I picked you.

The shipping was fine. Installation was very straightforward and was very quick. I bought a drill and a unibit to create the opening for the cables. The installation video on Youtube was great, very to-the-point; I thought it would be a lot more difficult to install something like this, but it was actually really easy to do.

I use an Apple iPod (6th generation). I ran the cables through the top of the center cubby, pretty much like in the video.

I am really happy to being able to get rid of my FM iPod transmitter which was awful in general but especially on long car trips when I had to change radio frequencies because I'd drive into an area where the frequency I was using was for some radio station and sometimes empty frequencies were hard to find. I really liked the instruction video. I also like how the iPod jack also charges the device while you use it.

I'm really happy with the end result, and the installation was actually fun!

For installation I didnt have to dismount the dash , i went thru the glove compatment , very easy and fast , took me 5 minutes. When i removed the glove compartment , i was able to run the wires on the inside. There is a place underneath the radio that i am using to put my Ipod

I really like that I can advance to the next song with my steering wheel , and it stay at the same song when i power off , and also charging the unit. In fact I am recommending GTA Car Kit to my friends now.

"I've had FM transmitters in the past and the audio quality was unacceptable.

Your price point was far better than anyone else on the web! I also saw the installation on YouTube and it looked simple enough that even I could do it! I'm a complete novice when it comes to stuff like this.

    The shipping was very fast!

Installation was easier than I expected and I did not have to buy any extra tools. The video was extremely helpful. I went back to it several times to check that I was doing it correctly.

I am using my iPhone 3GS. I ran the iPod cable and AUX jack through the bottom vent as shown in the video.

The GTA Car Kit features I like the most was the ease of installation and how the product works flawlessly with my Mini Coopers stereo system. I can use the steering wheel stereo buttons and it charges my phone.

I had trouble with the connector from the GTA kit to the cars stereo connector. At first it was not making a clean connection and I had no audio. I called your support line last week and you were very helpful on the phone. I did not have the plugs seated firmly. A little adjusting and everything is fine. I taped it with a small amount of duct tape just to make sure it did not unseat. I noticed in the video that you had a similar problem when first trying to connect the adapters. Not a huge problem and the product works flawlessly.

The GTA Car Kit is a GREAT value for the money! I'm glad I found you on the web and I'm glad you make such a great product. I highly recommend the kit for everyone.

Just writing to say I recently installed your kit in an RX 330. Took about 30 minutes and it works good and sounds GREAT!!! Finally, no more FM modulator!!!! Those things are junk. What's even better is having the charging and audio capability built into one device, so no more having to carry a separate charger. Plus, with the Aux jack, my non-iPhone/iPod friends can plug their stuff in too! Perfect. Should have bought this a long time ago.

I am using an iPhone 4S. I ran the cable up and through the AC vent. I really like to charge and play music through iPhone.

I have only had one problem so far - when I turned on my car the music sounded as if it was a really static-y radio station, but I turned off the car and turned it back on and that fixed it for now.

"Just got this thing installed on my 2010 mazdaspeed3.
It took around 1 hour. The hardest part is hiding the iPod cable underneath the center console. It was a little bit tricky when putting the head unit back to the slot, since there were whole bunch of wires, need to get them organized before I could put it back.

Overall It works perfectly as it said. The sound is much clearer than Bluetooth streaming, and the steering control is still functional. The only problem is that the song's title doesn't show on the screen when it's in manual mode.

Update from GTA Car Kits: song title is supposed to work like this. It is limitation of apple products - when the iPod app is not locked, there is no way to sync the current song information with your stereo. "

Received the kit in about a week, meets my expectation.

"I heard about GTA Car Kits from you tube, i was researching on how to remove my factory stereo and came upon GTA Car Kit. I knew immediately after seeing their video i had to have this product.

I did try a different method for streaming my music from my iphone to my factory stereo but nothing came even close to the clear sound that GTA Car Kit provides. The option to change music from the steering wheel (if equipped) is very AWESOME.

I was amazed on how fast i got my package. I ordered about two days before a holiday so i expected delays. Not the case i received it very, very quick.

The installation was very simple. Watched a you tube video on how to install prior to receiving my package and didn't need to review it once i did receive my GTA Car Kit. It took me maybe about 15 min in total installation. I did not need to purchase any extra tools just zip ties to secure some cables. ( i like all my cords to be hidden)

I am currently using a iphone 4 with my GTA Car Kit. Love how they clearly showed and explained that it was compatible with all sort of apple devices. i did not use the AUX cable, I ran the ipod cables under the driver side dash and ran it to my cradle holding my phone mounted by the flashers of the vehicle. There was plenty of cable provided with this device. GOTTA LOVE THAT!!!

The best features i love about the GTA Car Kit would have to be that it charges my device @ the same time while playing music. Also I also love how the music continues from where you stopped playing the song for example, Turning off the vehicle, disconnecting the device, etc.

Honestly i do not have any negative response for this product. I did my money worth. I have shown and suggested this product to many friends and two of them have already ordered this product.

The Video has a differnt configuration where he detaches the smaller center plug and hooks everything up to the Y harness. Your radio will have two bigger plugs that need to stay plugged in, forget using the Y harness. Your radio will have an unused small opening that the module harness can plug into.

The shipping was 3 or 4 days. Great.

The video (2001 - 2005 rav4 video) did not quite match my car (2001 Rav4) but it was still helpful. I thought installation was going to be harder than it actually was. My car had 4 allen screws holding the panel around the stereo in place (no clips) so it was quite easy.

I use iPhone 4 & 3GS. I ziptied the gta cables & adapter behind the stereo and ran the ipod/iphone cable into the heating duct (there was a small opening in the duct, covered with a strip of insulation that I pushed it through) and then out the center vent above the stereo.

I really like Seamless integration with the car stereo, perfect audio quality, plug and play! Your system sounds 4x better, is sturdier, looks better, will last longer, and was only slightly more than the $90 *POS* fm transmitter i last tried. "I had researched ways to connect an iPod to a relatives car stereo that had no Aux input. I found that GTA car kits had good reviews and were considerably cheaper than those at Best Buy. Shipping was fast, installation was easy and the product worked just as described.

I recently bought a new car without an iPod input and decided to get a GTA Car Kit since I had a good experience. Since the GTA Car Kit was only about $100, it was also considerably cheaper than adding an iPod input as an option on my car. Once again, shipping was fast, the product was very simple to install and works perfectly.

The installation only took about 30 minutes and only needed a screw driver. The device simply plugs into the back of the stereo. I checked out the video, which was very thorough, but didn't even need it considering how easy it was.

I was able to install in 30 minutes. I purchased a small nail puller to remove the radio bezel from the car, although I could have done with a small screwdriver.

I am using an old iPod Nano, and iPhone 3GS. Both work great. I ran the iPod cable out the bezel below the aux power port below the radio so the iPod is easily accessible while driving. I will probably move it to the glove box.

I like how easy GTA Car Kit integrates into the factory radio, plus it charges the iPod.

I have already recommended this product to my friends. This is a good value.

"I used FM transmitter that had static and low volume, heard the GTA car kit in my friends car and it was clear.

    Shipping was 2 days.

The install was very easy, took no more than 15minutes, watching the video from my iPhone step by step during install.

I'm using an iPhone4 in my Mazda3, and for now cables just run down the side of the console, will consider passing through ashtray at a later date. I like easy install and use of my steering wheel controls. I would recommend your kit to my friends.

"I have tried an fm transmitter and was discouraged, after I kept searching for a better alternative, I finally came across GTA CAR KIT.

Shipping was right on time, although I had to wait through the weekend!!

The installation was so simple, it took more time opening up the box that the kit came in than actually hooking up the whole kit!! The video installation on youtube was the whole selling point for me! I did not buy any extra tools, and the video was extremely helpful!

I am using an Iphone 3gS and the cables are tucked away nicely behind the center storage under the radio, I drilled a hole in the back of the storage bin so the actual adapter that the cables plug into is not seen. VERY CLEAN THIS WAY!

I like the ability to charge my phone, and also it picks up right where it left off... However the best features of the kit I like most are the product itself being a TRUE "PLUG-N-PLAY" SYSTEM. The cord that connects to my phone is super long making the phone totally maneuverable!!!

WOW, THAT WAS THE BEST 100$ I HAVE EVER SPENT!! I HAVE RECOMMENDED YOUR PRODUCT TO EVERYONE I KNOW!

" I found your website through google. I did look at other types of products. I chose GTA Car Kits because the website was a lot more informative than ANY other website.

I ordered on 7/9/11 at 12:30am and received it on 16/9/11 at 10:30am. It took 8 days and 10 hours from ordering online to moment of delivery from GTA Car Kits in Chicago Illinois USA to Brisbane Queensland Australia.

Installation was VERY EASY. For my Mazda 6, it took longer to take it out of the box and reading the instructions than to actually install it. It was as simple as taking out the glove box and and plugging the adapter into the back of the stereo. And running the cable to where i wanted it. I didn't have to buy any additional tools. The installation video was helpful - it was one of the reasons I purchased this product.

I use iPhone 3GS. (Australian cars are right hand drive) I ran the cables through the back of the stereo, under the steering wheel and up to the right of the steering wheel where my iPhone holder sits.

I would and did recommend GTA Car Kits to my friends.

"I found you by searching for 'Ipod car adapters' in google. I did consider other solutions but found them to be too expensive. Once I found your kit for $99 and watched the video showing me that I could install it I was sold.

The installation took about 2 hours because the video and my car didn't exactly match up so I had to figure some things out on my own. No extra tools were needed and yes the video was very helpful. Without the video I would not have been able to pull this off.

I am using a 160gb Ipod Classic with the kit. The wires are running through one of the black access panels near the cup holders.

I don't mean to sound sarcastic but my favorite feature is really just that fact that I can play my Ipod through my car stereo.

" I was searching the web for a device to add an auxiliary port to my factory car stereo when I came across on YouTube an installation video for the GTA Car Kit for my exact car and stereo.

I've tried FM transmitters. My vehicle model was one of the last to have a factory cassette, so I've also tried a 3.5 mm stereo jack to cassette converter. FM transmitters picked up too much noise interference in the Los Angeles area and cassette converters are very hard to find. Both had degraded sound quality.

The installation was very easy: I followed most of the steps on the video. The installation took about 1 hour, and most time was spent testing the audio and deciding how best to run and conceal AUX and iPod cables. I already had a plastic screwdriver-like device to remove the panels, and no other tools were required. The video clearly revealed the port where the GTA Car Kit would connect, so I was able to plug in the GTA Car Kit to my stereo by reaching behind the stereo. I did not have to remove the stereo or the bolts holding the stereo to the console.

I alternate between an Android phone and a iPhone. The AUX and iPod cables exit along the driver's edge of the center console; I did not want to nor did I have to drill holes or alter factory parts to install the GTA Car Kit. The installation is complete reversible if I choose to remove it.

It added an AUX port to my car, which did not already have one. But unlike today's cars with AUX port, it has a iPod connector that allows the radio to control the iPhone play list from the stereo.

The GTA Car Kit is slightly more expensive than other competitors, but the kit comes with everything promised - the right port connections and audio cables, comes quickly, and adds iPod control features. The GTA Car Kit is a better value for my money, and I do recommend the GTA Car Kit over the competition to my friends.

    " ALOHA!

Thank You very much for a great product.

I placed my order for my wife 2008 Lexus RX 350 with navigation last 8/26/11 and just got it yesterday 8/29/11 in the afternoon. I may say the S&H is very fast despite the fact that I am here in Maui, Hawaii. I also like the FREE S&H. All of the company I search online charge almost the price of the item they are selling.

Installion is like walking in the park. I followed the instruction that you guys posted on your website and walla! I installed the GTA CarKit for less than an hour. My wife and I have both iPhone4 and both work. I tried my daughter's ipod, too. It's like plug and play. I run the cable on the glove compartment. Oh! well I just need to buy the phone holder, my bad on that. The sound quality is so amazing.

I will definitely spread the words to my family and friends and co-workers. I hope they put their trust to your product as i put my trust.

" I found GTA car kits on Google Search. I tried an FM transmitter that I purchased at the Apple store. I returned it less then 24 hours later. The quality was so poor I couldn't believe that Apple would actually sell the product.

Shipping was fast. It only took a few days. The installation was very easy. I don't know anything about installation and the video proved to be very handy. I watched it a few times and then I was ready to go. It took a total of 30 minutes to install the GTA Car Kit.

I am using an iPhone4. I ran the AUX and iPhone cable down through the ash try. It was very easy to feed through.

The sound quality is amazing. I love that its just plug and play!

It is a great value for the money and I would definitely recommend to my friends.

"Hi there. I just installed the car kit an a honda accord 2003 with navigation system and it works really good.

I had some problems when I started the installation.. the connector for the new cable was't there, so I look and look and it was to my left side of the radio (white)hanging right there in a harness loop. I checked the shape of it and it was the right one. It was the male side and I order the extra Y cable for navigation system the female side.

All I can said is that it works better than one in Best Buy. I had the one from Best Buy and that one connects to your antenna so you will lose some of your radio stations..

    Have a good day!!

"As I upgraded my car with iPod adapter for GTA Car Kits - here is my review of this product in case somebody else is interested.
Before buying the adapter for my car, I did some research (see my previous thread). I picked GTA Car Kits because of the price and their video instructions that are specific to my car. I don't like the fact that other suppliers don't take time to provide instructions as removing the stereo is not a trivial task.

So, the price was $99 with free shipping and my kit arrived in 4 days after placing the order. Stereo removal procedure is exactly as in the video:

It took me about 1 hour and a half to do the complete installation and there is no any visible scratches left.

Basically, there are 4 places where you can run the iPod cable: through the vents (it is what I did), to the glovebox (perfect solution if you have iPod that is not moved back and forth), to the compartment with AUX that located below the stereo and to the arm rest. I also highly recommend car holder that is sold on the same website for $20. It is quite handy and perfect for my iPhone 4.

The sound volume is the same as in FM mode and it is CD quality.

To get to iPod mode you need to press DISK button or Audio Mode button on the steering wheel. You would get into CD1 mode as on the picture above.

There are two submodes - one is hybrid submode where you can switch songs both from iPod/iPhone and from the stereo/steering wheel. On the stereo you would switch songs using "SEEK-TRACK" buttons. To get into the hybrid submode you need to press DISC DOWN (button "3") until it gets into Disk 1. But in this mode Random button does not work and you cannot see the name of the song. Second submode is the Playlist - where you can switch songs only from stereo (iPod is locked). In this mode you can switch between playlist using DISK DOWN/DISC UP (button "3" and "4"), use Random song feature (button "1"), use Repeat song feature (button "2"), see the text of the song and playlist number ("Text" button). I also really like fast forward (button "5") as I usually listen to 2-hours trance shows like State of Trance and without this feature you can get stuck with very bad music .

I also like that the iPod is automatically gets paused when you turn off the stereo, remove the key or switch to FM mode. It resumes at the same position when you go back to CD1 mode or start your car. Also I like that iPod is not charging when you remove the key from ignition, as I had an issue with DICE in my old BMW when it completely discharged my battery.
Overall I highly recommend this upgrade as it gives you great features for little price.

    Update:
    1. This kit does not use factory AUX in any way. I can still use factory AUX after pressing AUX button and listen to the music through this port.

    2. I don't use Pandora, but I have "Jango radio" installed. I tried it and the kit streams the sound but does not switch songs. When I change the song on the steering wheel, the Jango radio is paused and my iPod music resumes.

    3. Indeed, I get message "This accessory is not optimized for iPhone" every time I connect to the kit which can be annoying. I read somewhere that it is because this kit is not made by Apple, but I am not sure. I just ignore this message and it disappears at some point without any actions on my side.

    "Hi GTA Car Kits,

I found out about GTA Car Kits while searching online for an after-market product that provided iPod/AUX support and would integrate with my existing (Lexus RX) vehicle audio system.
I had tried a middle-of-the-road FM Transmitter, but the audio quality is extremely poor. When I saw what GTA Car Kits offered, it looked much more appropriate for what I wanted.

The shipping surprised me how fast I received my kit. I was expecting at least two or three days of waiting, but it was delivered within a day.

I did watch the video several times and it did seem to be a very straight-forward installation. The video was very accurate when it came to the steps needed to get access to my audio system. The actual connectors the GTA Car Kit provides are very good. I do have to thank the video for the tip of having a small magnetic extension tool as I did need to use it several times when I dropped the screws into very tight area. It probably took me about 2 hours in total, with more than half of that spent running the cables into my glovebox and putting things back together. Unfortunately the video does not prepare you for that part. It took me some time to figure out how I could run the cables to get them into my glovebox area. When I finally found a way to get my glovebox to open much further I could finish things much quicker.

I am using an iPod Touch 3rd Generation and I really appreciate being able to control my iPod via the actual audio system controls or with the audio controls on my steering wheel. Things work just as they were advertised in the video.

This is an excellent product at a great price and delivers an excellent solution for an after-market product. Great work GTA. I would direct all of my friends or family towards this car kit if I heard they were looking for a similar solution.

Again, thanks for creating this solution for mine and many other vehicles.

I considered other iPod/AUX integration solution but it doesn't seem that any other company makes one for a 2004 Nissan Murano.

"The aux jack on my Camry was broken, so I searched on Youtube for Toyota Camry AUX and found your website. I chose GTA because it was easy to install because you showed me how to install it on the video.

The shipping was 3 days. Installation was pretty easy. It took me about an hour and half, longer than it should have, since I didn't route the wires correctly. I ran the cable through the aux jack hole. I really like the integration with Camry controls and ability to change songs.

I would recommend GTA Car Kit especially given that the aux replacement part on the Toyota cost more money than this product, and I get more functionality with this product.

"I found your product on Youtube/Google search.

I chose the GTA Car Kit after trying a lot of other options. I tried 3 different FM transmitters and it just became a hassle always trying to find a "free" station to play my music on and especially when you like to listen to your music loud, hearing static every couple of seconds gave me headaches.

I also thought about getting a car deck to replace the factory car stereo but that would have costed me too much, especially if i included installation charges, (also the possibility of my car getting broken into and having the deck stolen).
Therefore I chose the GTA Car Kit and I am also very happy with the product, the sound quality is clear 24/7 and it sits nicely in the dash board where it cannot be seen. The fact that I can control my ipod audio straight from my factory stereo just makes the product even better.

    Shipping took 3 days.

Installation was alright, which is important considering I have no experience in installing anything else besides pouring the window washer fluid. The video was extremely helpful though. I did need a couple extra tools but I was able to borrow them off my friend.

I am using my iPod touch on it and my friends ipods and iphones as well. I ran it into the dashboard where i leave my ipod plugged into.

I would recommend GTA Car Kit to my friends.

"My review of the GTA Car Kit (Ipod/Itouch/MP3 player) - my contribution to this forum.

I am truly pleased with my purchase of the GTA Car Kit. In fact, WOW!!! The Ipod/MP3 player is user friendly in many ways. This is the best unit I have seen on the market. After many weeks of research, I made the decision. It is by far the most impressive system available. The price is reasonable and it well worth the cost. I will not bore you with all the details. I will list some selling points that were important to me.
    ...
The GTA unit is very small and easy to install. There is a YouTube video explaining the entire process. The process took me 20 minutes to install and I did not need a professional to mount it. I took my time and concentrated on the installation. It helped to watch the video multiple times. A long medium sized screwdriver and a wedge tool to get the front stereo panel off is required. The module was quick to install and the process was exactly as in the video. It is literally a snap in place installation. There is no soldering or wire cutting and no need to disconnect the car battery.

The module comes with two wires that either can connect to the Ipod. One cable can connects to the bottom of the Ipod. This charges the Ipod when the engine is running. It keeps the Ipod battery from dying on long trips. The other connector is a 3.5mm that connects to the top of the Ipod if charging is not required. This is a long enough cable so back seat occupants can select and interact with the Ipod. I appreciate that the manufacturer provided a long cable. Some sellers do not provide this cable or it is very short.

Interacting and playing music via GTA Car Kit is not difficult at all. You can use the radio head unit to select and change songs. It is very simple to understand and it does not limit you to a preset number of playlist. Be aware many mp3 players that restrict the number of playable playlist.

Here is why I am extremely happy with this unit:
    - Plug and play connect your Ipod and play songs immediately. Some units take awhile to categorize to start to play.
    - Use the ipod cable or 3.5mm cable is up to you.
    - Supports my second gen and latest Itouch 32Gb unit without issues or restrictions
The song starts again where I left off even after a week of not playing music. In other words, if I turn off the car at song 101, and I come back three days later, it starts where I left off. I have a DICE unit on my BMW that starts at the same first song even if I return four hours later. Imagine turning on the car and the same song plays every timeat the beginning?
    - I am happiest most with how I can continue to interact with the Ipod while it is plugged into the Ipod cable. To do this, plug in the Ipod and leave stereo setting on D1. I am able to use the Ipod to select song as it continues to charge. I can see the songs and playlist on the Ipod screen. It is fully interactive. Unlike my DICE unit, I cannot interact with the Ipod. As such, I cannot see the songs or playlist.
    - Music sounds phenomenal - There are no whirling or whizzing noises when the music is playing.
    - Response time is awesome - songs start immediately when the stereo on.
    - RDM button - pick a playlist and the GTA module with randomize the songs within the playlist...truly awesome.

GTA Car Kits also sells an optional adjustable universal car holder. My advice is for you to get one. The holder is strong and it connects securely onto the air vent. The designers did a great job. It firmly holds the Ipod where it is visible and easy to use. There are cushions on the side to keep it from scratching the Ipod when it is in the holder. To clamp the Ipod onto the holder, just squeeze the sides of the holder. Push a button at the rear of the holder, which is easily accessible, to release grip. I like how the Ipod cable fits snuggly at the base of the holder. It does not interfere with the holder. Hurray to the designer of the holder. By the way, I use it to hold my Blackberry phone at times too.
I hope this helps you in deciding what Ipod/mp3 player to purchase. I truly understand how difficult this process can be. Needless to say, I am pleased to give GTA Car Kits my business and my hard-earned dollars. I am confident GTA Car Kit will continue to be successful with their product and business.

    "Hi gtacarkits,

I already have factory AUX output in my Camry, but I was not completely happy with it. I already have your kit on my Honda Odyssey 2005. And I noticed that when I am driving Camry and listening to my iPhone with regular AUX, I miss small features like automatic charging, ability to switch songs from the steering wheel, automatic pause when I turn off the radio and song numbers.

So, I purchased Camry kit and very happy with it. Your installation videos are awesome and it was really easy to do.

I also purchased your perfect car holder and installed it on the passenger side vents. Very convenient accessory as my iPhone became real GPS (I use free MapQuest app).
My daughter thinks that I am cool ;).

"Tried few FM transmitters in the past. If numbers 88.1, 87.9, 88.3 look familiar, you probably know what problem with clarity of sound I had. I did my research on the internet and found few adapters that connect iPhone directly to the car stereo and offer clear sound.

But what stroke me is the lack of installation instructions. "Plug the cable to the back of your factory stereo" might sound simple, but in reality my Lexus RX panel looks rock solid. Finally I found video turotial from GTA Car Kits and after watching youtube video I decided that it is doable project and bought the kit. Kit came 4 days after ordering.

It turned out to be an interesting project as with video on hand I felt myself an expert. You should see the face of my girlfriend once I was done as she thought that this job should be done by mechanic at Lexus dealership ;).

Took me 1 hour to complete my little project and I managed to avoid any scratches on my panel (it was my biggest concern).

The sound quality from my iPhone 3GS was amazing. I really like the ability to switch playlists as my phone became my virtual CD changer. And I don't need any real CDs in my car anymore. The only lacking feature is the actual name of the playlist. It shows only "Playlist X".

But other than that the kit is perfect and I think I got really good deal for the price of 1.5 tank of gas.

"Hi ,received item yesterday, great delivery time.

It's one thing reading about what your device can do ,but after installing it I am thrilled to bits with it.

After getting the run around with Honda Australia & trying different FM transmitters which were garbage, I can't believe I now have something that works & works fantastic.

My only regret is you do not have a kit for my other car (local Ford)

I will be spreading the news ,thanks again.

"I was tired of the lousy quality that I got when I played my iphone in the car via an FM transmitter. It was always a challenge to find a station that did not have interference, and often that too was short lived and frustrating.

We were planning a road trip with the kids for our spring break, which involved driving 10 hours each way. The FM transmitter solution was a no-go for the trip. I searched for an alternative, and came upon the GTA kit while I was googling for instructions on youtube. The installation video seemed simple enough, so I ordered the kit. I was pretty pressed for time - we were heading out on friday, and I put in the order on monday.

Shipping was super efficient, I got the kit on wednesday itself. Installation was a breeze - the video was quite descriptive in what you need to do. There are some areas where you can screw up - breaking the plastic trim when taking it off, or chipping something when drilling a hole for the cable. Not hard to get right, but if you are not used to removing and replacing the trim, you might not be used to the right amount of force needed to get the clips out.

Overall, I think it took me 20 mins to put the kit in, and then another 20 to redo it after I discovered an extra screw I had not put back the first time.

The kit functions beautifully. I installed both the iphone adapter and the headphone jack. On our long drive, I could charge my phone while my wife played the Harry Potter audio books from hers.

The ability to control the ipod from the van's audio controls is really great. I can put the phone in the compartment, and close it - very clean and uncluttered in the car (leaving room for all the *other* things to clutter).

There really is no excuse to not install this in your vehicle if you enjoy music, and even more if you have an iphone/ipod.

"I installed the car kit today. Everything works great.

The installation of the car kit was simple. The video tutorial made it even easier and was a very valuable tool to my successful install. For the stock deck, there's a compartment for an expansion. I placed the box there, so it literally took up no space inside. The cables were long enough to reach most areas. I decided to place my cable under the ashtray and cup holder. The cable comes up from the hand-break and into the storage box. This way both the iPod and the cables are hidden.

The quality of the sound is excellent! The sound of the car kit pumps out more power than the stock AUX port. The bass seems to sound better as well. The unit was tested with both AUX and iPod plugged in at the same time with no problems. The best of all, are the steering wheel controls. Instead of manually changing songs on the iPod, using the steering wheel controls allows me to shuffle songs without taking the eyes off the road. However, it would be much better if the iPod can be paused and play using the dash controls. The iPod also charges and stops/pauses the song when you're not using it.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the product. The installation took less than an hour, and the convenience and quality are fabulous.

"Just wanted to let you know your kit arrived Saturday (ahead of schedule) and was installed in less than 45 minutes in my daughters VW Jetta with a factory MONSOON radio.
She is very happy with the result. Many thanks for including the "radio keys". The video on your site made the process very understandable.

    Thanks again and regards,

"Hi, I ordered kit for my 2005 Honda Odyssey EX and it arrived very quickly. The installation was simple, I just followed your video, however the panel clips were much tighter than you show.
iPod connection works great - both iPhone 4 and iPod classic are charging through the cable and I can easily navigate between the songs.
I like "last position memory" feature. I used to have another kit in the past that did not have such feature and I always hated when my iPod kept playing after I turned off the radio.

    Thanks,

"It did take some time installing it, mostly due to me not being careful enough and also I prefer have the cables at the front just under the climate control.
So I had to stuff the whole kit in place, which was easy as soon as I got the right placement.

It sounds so much better than the Belkin radio transmitter I had before :)

"What a great web shopping experience! I bought my kit and quickly received my tracking number. I received it in less than one week and, helped by the YouTube video, I was ready to go after 30 mins! GTA team even took some times to do a quick follow up to see if everything went well... I'm an intensive web shopper and I don't see that attention very often!

What you see is what you get. Really, I have nothing else to say, it is way to easy!! I'm now controlling my iphone from my Toyota Sienna steering wheel without all these awkward gizmos and it is exactly what I always wanted. The only thing I see as a future enhancement will be to display, if it is doable, the playlist's name so we won't need to remember their order!

" I just wanted to let you know the IPod kit arrived and I have already proceeded with the installation myself.
The YouTube Installation Video ypou have posted online enabled me to finish in less than 20 minutes...and this was my first time pulling out a radio.
Everything went perfect and the GTA Kit is exactly like Toyota OEM quality I was looking for. Thank you very much. I will certainly recommend your company to my friends/family.

" This kit worked like a charm! I do like to take things apart but not in cars and this only took me an hour to do.
    Super easy install.

The only issue I had was trying to figure out how to get the cd player back in with the wires and box out of the way and I used a little bit of Velcro then tucked them in the back to the left. I also put the wire thru the ash tray and didn't have to drill anything just pulled out the red? plastic piece and fed the wire thru that.
