"I read about the kit on thread on Mazda247.com forums. I followed a link to the "how-to" video on youtube on the Mazda5 installation. I'd heard that the FM transmitters didn't work. I searched my local retailers Car Toy s and they didn't seem to offer anything for my vehicle beyond upgrading the factory car stereo. The shipping was very fast. I was impressed. I was under the gun to give the kit as a Christmas present. I'd left it until after the standard Dec 18th window for receiving before the 24th, but I still got the kit well in advance of my deadline of Christmas Eve. Such a load off my mind and the shipping was standard and free! Really awesome. I had some experience working on a car interior - but it was a 90's car with clips and brackets that they just don't use any more. Very fragile stuff. So I really didn't trust myself to install this without a big hassle but the video and some schematics I downloaded off the internet gave me the extra push to try it. It turned out to be way, way, way easier than I thought. I think modern cars are more simply designed these days. Cheap yes, but simple to work on too. I basicall prepared 100 percent longer than it actually took. I had purchased some plastic pry bars for working with installation trim at Harbor Freight. This was the first time I've used these $3 tools, some different shaped pry bars, and could have improvised with a screw driver but it was a bit nicer to be sure I didn't scratch the dash. But the install didn't really require extra tools. We are using an iPhone4S and iPhone3S with the kit. The main connector to the radio has a decent length so easily ran the Kit "head" into the glove box. We put some double stick, male/female velcro on a small shelf in the glove box. Then we just ran the cable out of he close box. The rubber gasket around let's it open and close on the cable. We bought the additional dash device holder that hangs from the head vent on the inside passenger side. The cable isn't proment at all and runs behind the holder. Looks fine. Oh and the kit can control, advance music on websites like Pandora and Hypem. Internet radio etc. We use that more than ipod features because we live in a big city and have unlimited data streaming with AT&T. I really lithe that kit works as advertised! Controlling the phone from the steering wheel controls is really great. This kit isn't just an interface or adapter but also delivers control capabilities. It is "smart" in marketing terms for what it does. Overall the kit is priced appropriately and is a good value. The service was good and the product showed some design smarts. Not just junky stuff from knocked off in China. Someone put some thought into this and it is worth it. Also the store was flawless and shipping quick. All in all just very few hassles. It really saves money from visiting a Best Buy or Car Toys or some other car stereo shop. If you can handle the install which is simpler than you think it is so much better than having some trunk monkey mess around with your car. You get to see what's under your dash. And it's simply amazing what some of these vendor charge you for installation. It literally took 10 minutes. If I did it again I could probably do it again in 5."

"I would like to say thanks for your gtacarkit. I had received the item thursday, and installed on sunday. Just to let you know i had been looking for a kit like this for years. My wife loved the product and the install was done about 45 minutes. I do thank you for your video on the installation. Even though the removal of the radio was a little bit different(Mazda 5 I'm guessing I had the USA version of the vehicle), I was still able to apply the same basic idea. I'm very thankful for the kit, it made it so simple the install. I would highly recommed this product to anyone who would like to install one."
