November 5, 2024WoW! Quick delivery, easy to install and it works exactly as I expected. The person on the vidéo that gives the instructions is amazing, and easy to follow. It took me approximately 20 min. To install in my Mazda MX 5.

April 11, 2018Great product that does everything I wanted. So glad to have found this solution. Installation video on YouTube was great except for some ambiguity about a 10 mm bolt that secures the radio. I spent lots of time trying to find it only to find that it had already been removed by a previous owner or mechanic. Seems to be really well engineered and thought out. Highly recommended !

January 7, 2018My son bought me the Pure Bluetooth unit for my '57 (Late 2007) plate, UK Mazda MX-5. It is simple to fit with even basic knowledge, if you follow the YouTube video. However, it is a less complex installation on the the UK Right Hand Drive version for the following reasons.
1. There is no metal bracket under the steering column to remove.
2. There is no 10mm bolt retaining the combined Bose Radio and HVAC control.
Also I found it possible to install the microphone without removing the door weather strip, by just popping the side panel and hinging it outwards and releasing the 'A'- Pillar panel. I also put the blue tooth unit in the glovebox and will attach it with double sided sticky pads, so that I can insert the AUX and Lighting cables only when needed.
Overall I enjoyed the installation process. Gives you a sense of achievement, especially when you discover the fantastic sound reproduction. And the telephone is really clear. So happy with this unit; what a great solution.

September 7, 2017It works perfectly. The Bluetooth is easier to pair and connect to than most OEM units. I have a 2006 Japanese import right hand drive MX-5 with Bose head-unit. The tricky 10 mm bolt was eventually found and removed from the side of the stereo closest to the steering wheel (opposite from video instructions). I've cable tided the Module Unit to the inside of the glove box for easy access to USB charging and 3.5 mm for passengers. The microphone is clipped to the dash just to the lower right of the steering wheel. I grab the mic and clip it to my shirt if I'm talking on the phone (not often) as it was hard for people to hear me if installed on the A pillar. Great for streaming music from your phone.

February 3, 2014Very cool adapter. Love how easily it installs and the video instructions are spot on with how to get the radio out and the adapter installed.
One detail that could be added to the video is how to easily remove the triangular plastic pieces on the side of the radio if they have never been removed before and are on tight.
Take a flat bladed screw driver, put the flat of the blade on the back of the plastic piece with the screw driver handle pointing at the door. Place a hand on the screw driver near the plastic piece and pull towards the back of the car. It will pop off easily.
