October 10, 2023Quick Shipping it arrived yesterday, I ordered it it on Oct 3rd and it arrived yesterday Oct. 9th. Last night I installed it. This System works Great! The hardest part was running the Mic wires under the dash and fishing the plug up from below. The whole process took me about 45 minutes. I was quoted $348 at a local Automotive Audio Specialist, which didn't seem too bad, but the deal killer is I'd have to leave my Truck there all day.
I love that as soon as I get in my Truck with my phone, it is connected to the Blue tooth, no messing around connecting to the system. My Mapping works great on my phone, and the audio for mapping is automatically is cancelled by the the blue tooth music.

February 22, 2019Just received my Pure Bluetooth Car Kit today. Installation in my 2010 Tacoma took about 20 minutes, and everything works as advertised. OEM-like integration with the radio and steering wheel controls makes this kit really the only choice. Thanks for a great product!

Got the package yesterday and installed last night in an hour. The video was a great help to install and everything worked great. Bluetooth, aux and phone are successfully working. Wish I had of known about it years ago.
Thanks

June 19, 2018I just installed the Pure Bluetooth kit in my 2006 Tacoma, replacing a CRUX basic Bluetooth kit. This kit blows it away! It sounds much better and is almost twice as loud and was easy to install.

June 24, 2017The GTA Car Kit for my Tacoma was a breeze to put in -- after -- I watched the detailed YouTube guide. Of course the trick is to have the right tools. W/ the optional car panel tools, a great device and the kit I easily installed the kit into my 2008 Tacoma in nearly 30 minutes.
Great job, GTA.
Thanks.

March 15, 2017Yesterday I installed the Pure Bluetooth Kit (minus microphone and aux cable) in my 2006 Tacoma connected to the factory JBL CD Changer/FM/Subwoofer audio system.
First the good: this product does exactly what it says it does (I love it when that happens). The main component is about the size of a small cigarette package, plugs into a vacant port on the back of the radio and comes with enough cable to stow the component in the console, up underneath the dash, glove box or cubbyhole under right side of steering wheel.
Now for the realistic part of the review: First, the sound is by no means CD quality. More like decent lossy 320 kbs. Think about it: its Bluetooth-and Bluetooth cant be CD.
Second, and this might be just me-I decided to simply place the component in the cubbyhold under steering wheel. Its out of the way, yet accessible and I dont use it for anything else. I removed the little shelf, drilled a hole in the back, routed the connector thru the hole and then fed the cable up thru the dash to the radio, and down thru the hole, repeatedly for over an hour. You have to find just the right pathway so the connector will fit thru. So, if you choose this location, just know that going in.
Finally, volume. I'm using an iPhone 6 and I find that I really have to crank up the volume on the phone and on the radio to get it up where its somewhat loud.
Other than these items, I really do like this product and would recommend it for someone with a "dated" radio that would like to use their phone for music in the car.

July 19, 2016I have a 2008 Toyota Tacoma and wanted to add in an aux jack for playing music from my phone. Decided to go with the Pure Bluetooth kit which also adds hands free phone access as well as bluetooth music access. The kit arrived in about 3 days from ordering. I installed it quickly and easily. Just follow the step by step video instructions online and you'll be fine. Really is just that easy for installation. In no time at all, I've got music access from my phone via bluetooth or aux jack. Hands free phone works great too. I'm very happy with the product and its installation. Well worth the price to add these features to my older truck.

February 29, 2016Bought the Bluetooth and iPhone/iPod/AUX Kit for my Toyota Tacoma 2006 and it's the best product I have bought for my truck! It's worth the $140 and the video on Youtube on how to install it was extremely helpful. I installed it myself in about an hour (my truck is a stick shift so I had to change/alter some of the steps that were on the video).
The seller was also kind enough to send me a PDF file on how to remove the console cover for stick shift Tacomas. The cables are long enough to reach around the back panels and underneath (either the glovebox compartment or under the cupholders/console/armrest area) and the microphone location is also perfect. No cables will be left hanging or lose except obviously the AUX and USB Charger but I keep them hidden inside the armrest compartment. The cables can be out even with the compartment closed (the door will not squeeze them too tight so it's perfect!).
Overall great product and fantastic seller!

January 26, 2015I installed this beauty in mere moments, and I was very happy to have something that integrates so nicely with my Tacoma's stereo. Most of the time this kit works wonderfully and I am generally quite happy with it. However sometimes I'll queue up an audiobook on my iPod and plug it into the adapter, and when I click the Disc button on my stereo it starts playing Playlist 1. It's very annoying. I'm also sad that there is no display of the playlist name when you are scrolling through them. I have a zillion playlists and I have to guess where I am in the list by what plays when I stop navigating. Mostly satisfied with my purchase, and I couldn't be happier with how easy this was to install.

November 19, 2014I have no skills with my hands, and I was able to do it. Sounds great! So so much better then trying the radio station frequencies that never work. Nice product, I highly recommend it. Works just as advertised!

September 7, 2014Installed the GTA Car Kit iPod adapter in my 2006 Toyota Tacoma with OEM JBL radio/CD changer. The installation went very smooth thanks to the GTA video. The unit functions as advertised and the installation is clean with everything tucked away and hidden in the console.
I was surprised at how easy the install went, everything was plug and play. I really like the ability to control everything from the steering wheel controls and it is great that the GTA kit charges my iPod while it is connected. This is a great product.
The quick shipping was a plus also. I ordered my kit on a Sunday and I had it in my hands that following Thursday.

September 6, 2014Nice easy kit fit into my 2006 Toyota Tacoma. The video from GTA was a great help and everything went smoothly on install. I'm happy to report that this works extremely well. The only thing that would be better is if it had the iPhone 5 and higher pin adapter. I had to spend almost $40 on an adapter. Otherwise, this beat all expectation and anyone with an older vehicle should buy one. Larry - Calgary

April 28, 2014Car Kit for the Toyota Tacoma works great, video has excellent info and it was a very easy install. I did the arm rest install so the wire is hidden and the control box fits right beside the shifter.
Audio quality is perfect...
Thanks

March 16, 2014My wife has a SiriusXM radio in her Toyota Tacoma. She'd tried to use it thru an FM modulator for some time which never really worked very well due to interference from various FM stations. A local sound shop told us we'd have to replace the radio to get a direct audio connection.
The GTA car kit took me all of 30 minutes to get installed and finished following the instructions in the video. Everything went very smoothly and the final result was better than we expected. The audio was crystal clear - no interference at all. I would recommend this kit to any one - well worth the money!

November 13, 2013"I was researching online different methods of hooking up my iPod/iPhone to my radio and read a review of GTA on a Tacoma forum. After watching the installation video on YouTube, I decided to order it.
I have used FM transmitters in the past but did not like the sound quality they produce. I went to a local car audio place and they showed me a basic AUX product they would install for a cost of $200.
Product took only two days to arrive.
Installation was much easier than I thought it would be, only took about 10 minutes. Only tools needed was a wire I made a hook out of to remove the heater control dash. I already owned a 10mm nut driver which could easily remove the four bolts holding the radio in. Following the video on my phone while installing made the whole process very simple.
I use both an iPod Classic and my iPhone 4S with the kit. I decided to run the iPod cable out of the same hole as my emergency brake handle.
The perfect car holder that fits in my vent is a must have. It helps keep the wire out of the way and gives me perfect accessibility to my iPod. Also I like being able to use my controls on the wheel makes it so I never even have to touch my radio.
Considering the audio shop was wanting to charge me nearly double to just put in a jack on my existing radio, I believe this purchase was a steal. I have already told several friends who own Tacoma's about this product. "

December 12, 2012"Found your kit on public forums - Tacoma world.
I had a toylink aux connector and I have tried an FM transmitter in the past. I also tried my own fancy solder work to connect just an auxiliary cord. The reason I chose GTA Car kit is because of the comparability with the steering wheel controls in my Tacoma and the fact it has an iPod hookup AND an auxiliary cord coming from one unit to connect anything with a stereo cord.
Shipped within a week. I live in British Columbia, Canada.
I've taken apart my stereo about 6 times before so installation was a breeze, one plugin in the back. All in all it took about 15 minutes. Only needed a socket set for my stereo to remove it which I have.
I'm using an IPhone 5 and occasionally an IPod. I ran my wires down in front of my stick shift. You can't see the hole where it's placed and the wires tuck into the cubby perfectly when not in use.
I like the steering wheel controls, and compatibility with practically any MP3 player.
Overall awesome value. Cheapest car kit I could find and it's a Canadian company. I've already been telling anyone who needs one about then!! Great customer service as well."
