  • I Just installed my kit right now, and I was nervous doing it at night but it was very easy and took me like 30 minutes. I was unsure HOW I was supposed to run it under the plastic center console because, this vid didnt actually show us the procedure, but I just put the kit in a left pocket behind the stereo and just ran the cords( ipod and aux cords) through the center console opening. I wasnt sure if the kit was actually supposed to go in and behind the stereo to the left, but thats what I did and it fit and works nicely. 🙂 Now I can have aux capability! What a simple but essential feature that every car should have! :T

  • This video saved me so much time, and money, as did the car kit itself. Everything works great! Only issue I noticed was the iPod cord came out when I was trying to put the cubby back in, and tested my iPod again. I took the cubby back out (good thing I didn’t screw anything back in and thought to test it one more time) and taped the cord to the kit in a criss-cross style to hold it in place (I used electrical tape), I bought the Bluetooth Extension too, but didn’t feel like putting it on yet (since it was so easy to do all of this, I don’t mind having to do it over again if/when I do feel like putting the Bluetooth in). I think altogether this took me, maybe, 30 mins to do from start to finish. I drilled the hole for the cords in the cubby on the bottom back left hand side, since I put the car kit on that side at a 45* angle.

Overall, I’m really please with the quality of the product and the tutorial. The whole thing is awesome. 😀

Oh, for reference, I’ve never done anything like this or remotely similar. I usually just add washer fluid, fill the tires, and change the wiper blades, so I have no experience with this whatsoever. That being said, getting everything set up was incredibly easy and it sounds great. Thanks so much!!

  • Hi guys!
I just installed my Gta Car Kit inside my 2008 Mazda 6 about 2 weeks ago and I absolutely LOVE IT.
Works exactly as advertised and the installation was a piece of cake. This coming from someone who has never done a single mod or installation inside a vehicle before and even I did it following these simple instructions in less than an hour. Other than finding a place to run the wire through? It was completely simple and straight forward if you follow the steps carefully. Put it this way. I didn’t even have the 10 millimeter socket wrench I went to autozone and installed it in front of the store in 40 minutes. Sound quality is great and works fantastic. Definitely reccomend to anyone that doesn’t wanna pay 400 dollars for someone else to do the same job 🙂

  • I took me less than an hour on my 2005 Toyota Prius with the biuldin 6Cd changer cause I was looking for tools and it was dead on with the step, except that my connector is not on the back of the radio is in a knot of cables behind it where the radio cables are at.It would of been simply if I knew, would of taken the whole screen only off but it was done, then I decided to leave the gta kit in the glove box and took the aux cable by closing the glove box im just waiting for my phone holder to arrive and I’ll be set so thanks for everything for the video.

  • Installed and and operated just as described in video. Took my time and it took about 2 hours start to finish. Only thing tricky was positioning the control box, it could not lay flat in area indicated, it had to be set on end right of the shifter otherwise the console would not fit and stuck up 1/4″. I did tie wrap the the two cables in a couple of places near the control box, around the wire harness running thru console so the cables would not pull out. Great product. Great video, very helpful. Without it I would not have known where to even start.

  • My kit just arrived and went in to my 2007 Accord LX in under 30 minutes. Working great. Super easy install…can’t believe I waited this long. Thanks GTA!

  • Just installed mine yesterday. 2005 sutomatic rx8 with gps, bose system. It took me about an hour to do. The hardest part was getting all of the clips to come off of the back of the radio as they prevented me from pulling the head unit out any more than about 2 inches. I am very happy with the GTA car kit though. It works great and would recommend it to anyone.

  • There are actually 5 screws in the center consol of the 2004 miata. The fifth screw is found under the window control panel and I broke one of the tabs getting it out. I could not find any space under or around the cup holders, but the cords were long enough to keep the unit behind and under the radio. I actually find it easier to access from this location. Aside from these installation issues, I am VERY pleased and am glad that I didn’t need to buy a new head unit that has more than I want and looks out of place in my classic interior. Thanks!
